Meetings begin at 4:30 p.m. and take place at Menominee County Intermediate School District, 1201 41st Avenue, Menominee, MI 49858 (Map to ISD) unless otherwise specified.       UnderMCL 380.1284b, Michigan school districts cannot start their school year untilafter Labor Day.  If a school districtseeks to start its school year prior to Labor Day, it must receive a waiverfrom the Department of Education.  Thislaw requires a school district to host a public hearing before a decision onthe Labor Day waiver is made.
